Help me ensure that Georgia continues to be a welcoming place where new Americans can thrive.

Today, more than ever, New American Pathways needs our financial support as they continue to serve and advocate for the lives behind the headlines.

This fiscal year, the Trump Administration set the refugee arrival ceiling at 45,000--the lowest ceiling in history. Due to halts to the program in 2017 (travel bans that limited entry for individuals from six majority-Muslim countries), increased screening requirements for refugees from specific countries and a lack of staffing in overseas processing, we do not even expect to reach this historically low ceiling.

In Georgia, refugee arrivals are at a third of what they were this time last year. Families waiting to be reunited with loved ones are waiting much longer and, for specific populations like Syrians and Somalis, there is uncertainty as to whether family members will ever arrive.

Even a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for New American Pathways. Together, we can advocate for a robust resettlement program. We can help ensure that Georgia remains a welcoming place that benefits from the strengths and talents that new Americans bring to Georgia's communities.
